Paris-based calibration specialist Trescal has announced the acquisition of L3M Technologies Ltd. (L3M), a calibration services provider based in Singapore. The acquisition was completed with the support of Ardian, a private investment company which is Trescal’s majority shareholder.

Founded in 2014, L3M is a Singlas-accredited laboratory specialized in RF & microwave calibation, able to operate on site all over Asia. The four founders will remain with Trescal and help develop the group in Asia.

L3M employs six people, generates a turnover of $sing1m and is motly active in the aeronautical sector.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal Deputy CEO, says the acquisition will allow the company to offer best-in-class RF & microwave calibration services to clients in Asia. He adds that Trescal, which has been present in Singapore since 2010, is aiming at 10% organic growth per year in Asia over the next five years.

This acquisition is the twentieth acquisition since Trescal’s change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.
