Safran Landing Systems opens new repair facility in Grand Prairie, Texas

On September 15, 2021, Safran Landing Systems opened its new wheel and brake repair facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA. The new repair facility received its FAA certification on August 12, 2021. It is now ready to provide wheel and carbon brake maintenance and logistics services to Safran's airline customers, as well as to the U.S. Air Force and Navy, whose military platforms are equipped by the French company.

New wheel and brake repair shop... 

On September 15, 2021, Safran Landing Systems inaugurated its new wheel and brake repair shop in Grand Prairie, Texas, in the presence of Cédric Goubet, President of the company, and Nicolas Potier, Director of the Wheels and Brakes Division. The new repair facility received its FAA certification on 12 August 2021. It is now ready to provide wheel and carbon brake maintenance and logistics services to Safran's airline customers, as well as to the U.S. Air Force and Navy, whose military platforms are equipped by the French company.

"The opening of the Grand Prairie facility marks an important step in Safran Landing Systems' commitment to strengthen its long-term wheel and brake repair network in the United States and responds to the rapid growth of our OEM and MRO offerings for the U.S. market," said Cedric Goubet.

Five additional repair centres in the United States

The five repair centres are strategically located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Miami, Florida; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Grand Prairie, Texas. They have 200 highly skilled wheel and brake maintenance specialists and over 45,000 square metres of total floor space. These centres also operate in close cooperation with our Walton, Kentucky facility, where wheels, brakes and carbon heat sinks are produced.
