Sabena technics has carried out the entire work in-house

Sabena technics, a leading European maintenance & modification center, has successfully delivered a Bombardier G7500 to an undisclosed VVIP customer after a complete system modification campaign, to add Self-Defense System (SDS) capabilities. Thanks to its leading expertise in aircraft modification, Sabena technics has carried out the entire work in-house, under full EASA certification standards, including:
development of the first EASA STC for Leonardo Miysis DIRCM system installation on this Ultra Long Range Business Jet, complete manufacture and integration of the mechanical & electrical kits, full integration of the system and test campaigns. The aircraft was delivered right on schedule.

A recognized expertise for Self-Defense System integration

Using its strong capabilities and partnerships with leading aircraft system manufacturers, Sabena technics has been taking part in integrating self-protection systems on various aircraft including C-130, Boeing and Airbus Head of State. “This is a great new opportunity to demonstrate the strong know-how we have acquired on aircraft protection system integration. Our growing portfolio of projects indicates our ability to successfully design, manufacture, install and certify any SDS system on any aircraft type with any OEM.” said Daniel Soltani, SVP Sales & Business Development at Sabena technics.

Sabena technics is an EASA/EMAR PART 21J& 21G organization able to carry out and certify both minor (through its DOA) and major modifications (Supplemental Type Certificate). The EASA/EMAR PART 145 capability also allows Sabena technics to offer turnkey solutions projects to its customers worldwide.
