Safran has named Philippe Bardol General Delegate for China and Chief Executive Officer of Safran China.

Philippe Bardol is the new CEO of Safran China. Safran reports that Bardol becomes General Delegate for China, as well as heading Safran China. He replaces Kenning Liu, who has retired.

Based in Shanghai, China, he was first trade attaché, then director for China with the French agency for international investments (Agence française pour les investissements internationaux, AFII).

In 2005, he was named trade advisor in Osaka, Japan, then moved to Tokyo as director of the Northeast Asia zone. He joined the Executive Committee of Ubifrance in Paris in 2012, as head of the international network and quality. When Business France was created in late 2014, he was appointed director of the China zone, and trade advisor to the French embassy in Beijing.

Bardol, 53, holds a post-graduate degree from the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (1995).

Safran's operations in China currently comprise 18 entities and over 2,000 people.
