This morning the 15th European Space Conference started in Brussels, with representatives of the European space industry and various public institutions, starting with the European Commission.
Organized by Business Bridge Europe, a Belgian consulting firm specializing in European public affairs, the fifteenth edition of the European Space Conference kicked off this January 23 at the Egmont Palace in Brussels, Belgium.
For the first time since the beginning of the health crisis, it hosted all participants in person.
This annual European Space Policy Conference focuses on the challenges for the European space industry, in the wake of the CM 22 Ministerial Conference of the European Space Agency and in a geopolitical context marked in particular by the war in Ukraine and the delicate situation of the European launchers, in the image of the theme chosen : Securing the future of Europe in space.
The first session of debates was opened by speeches from Josep Borell Fontelle, High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission, and Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for the Internal Market, in charge of space issues in particular (via a video message for the latter).
