First “Indian” cockpit assembly for Falcon 2000

Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) has completed the first cockpit front section for a Falcon 2000 at its Nagpur manufacturing facility.

Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) has completed the first cockpit front section for a Falcon 2000 bizjet at its manufacturing facility in the Mihan special economic zone (SEZ) close to Nagpur International Airport.

The announcement comes just 16 months after the ground-breaking ceremony for the Nagpur facility in October 2017.

This first front section will be delivered to Dassault Aviation’s Falcon final assembly line in France. Ultimately, Dassault plans to assemble complete Falcon 2000s in India.

DRAL is the joint venture between Dassault and Reliance Aerospace announced in October 2016, shortly after India and France signed the landmark purchase agreement for 36 Rafale fighters for the Indian Air Force.

Dassault says the milestone underlines the company's commitment to the “Make in India” and “Skill India” initiatives and its determination to establish in India state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with cutting-edge technologies complying with best-in-class international aeronautical standards in terms of production efficiency and competitiveness.

This first Falcon 2000 cockpit assembly will be displayed on the Dassault Aviation stand at the Aero India show in Bangalore from 20th to 24th February .
