Bell is on the rebound and is expecting a third quarter on the rise

Bell is expecting a recover during the third quarter of 2019, with orders on the way up and deliveries.

In the second quarter of 2019, Bell saw its turnover as well as its earnings plunging because of a decrease of the military volume and a slightly lesser number of commercial helicopter deliveries. The company delivered 53 commercial helicopters during the second quarter corresponding to 4 less than in the same period last year.

Textron CEO, Scott Donnelly said he was expecting an improvement regarding commercial helicopters in the third quarter while the production is increasing to meet the demand. "Despite the lower commercial deliveries in the quarter, we expect to see a ramp in deliveries in the second half of the year, supported by strong order activity and increased production rates," says Donnelly.

At the end of the second quarter, the order book was up to $6 billion, $500 million up compared to the second quarter last year.
