ANA receives 50th Boeing 787

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has officially taken delivery of its 50th Boeing 787, becoming the first airline to operate 50 Dreamliners. The aircraft was previously showcased at the Farnborough International Airshow.

The Japanese carrier — launch customer and largest customer for the aircraft — placed an order for 50 787s in 2004 and was the first to bring the aircraft into service in 2011. ANA currently operates more than 11% of the global 787 fleet.

ANA has an additional 33 787s on order, including the newest member of the family, the 787-10. The airline also has 20 777-9s on order.

As part of efforts to expand its global network, ANA has announced plans to launch new routes from Tokyo, Narita to Phnom Penh, Cambodia in September this year and Mexico City, Mexico in February next year using 787 Dreamliners.
