Impaired wing aerodynamics... 

Ampaire is refining the aerodynamics of its family of electrically powered aircraft through a memorandum of understanding with Tamarack Aerospace Group. The MOU includes exclusive access to Tamarack's Smartwingô  fins on all alternative energy variants of the 208 Caravan, Twin Otter and King Air aircraft. Joint development work has already begun, with analysis validating the synergies between Tamarack's Performance Smartwing durability-supporting load-lighting technology and Ampaire's hybrid electric drive.

The game-changing Tamarack upgrade, which increases fuel efficiency and range, improving the ability to take off and land on shorter runways in all heat and payload conditions, will offer customers the opportunity to further improve performance and reduce operating costs of Ampaire's Eco Caravan, Eco Otter and Eco King Air hybrid electrics. Tamarack Performance Smartwing is also compatible with conventional versions of the 208 Caravan, Twin Otter and King Air, as well as Cessna CitationJets.
