The Latvian airline just took delivery of the last copie of its first order made a while ago. airBaltic still has thirty Airbus A220s, powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines, to receive as part of a second contract signed in May 2018 which also includes options for additional thirty copies. With its Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines, the day of the twentieth delivery — Saturday, September 21 — airBaltic’s Airbus A220 fleet cumulated over 37,000 flight hours and carried over 3.75 million passengers. The Latvian airline, which chose the A220-300 model, will take delivery of two additional aircraft of the type by the end of the year. Those are the first two of the second contract.
