Aerospacelab sets up in France

The Belgian SME sets up its French subsidiary in Bordeaux-Mérignac.

Action in space and Earth observation

Growing since its inception in 2018, Belgian SME Aerospacelab (which in June 2022 launched the construction of the largest microsatellite constriction factory in Europe) is setting up its French subsidiary, Aerospacelab SAS, in Mérignac, near Bordeaux, in the brand-new business park " 45ème Parallèle ", located at the entrance to the airport.

The new entity will be dedicated to action in space (Space Mobility & Logistics, In Orbit Services) and Earth observation (including Synthetic-Aperture Radar) for defense and security needs

 

Search Engineers

Aerospacelab SAS is chaired by Air Force Brigadier General (2S) Jean-Daniel Testé and is managed by Pierre-Guy Amand.

The former was Joint Space Commander (forerunner of the Space Command), between 2014 and 2017.

The latter was Director of Innovation and then Director of the Defense Future Platforms Technical Center at ArianeGroup, between 2016 and 2022.

The startup is recruiting engineers and plans to grow rapidly in 2023 and 2024 .

The short-term goal is to become the industrial center of excellence.
