Liebherr-Aerospace has been selected to supply all pneumatic components for Rolls-Royce’s next-generation business jet engine Pearl 700: the design, manufacture and maintenance of the pneumatic valves and related actuators are handled by Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse, France.
Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS supplies Rolls-Royce with valves and lightweight actuators for Rolls-Royce’s Pearl 700 engine. The latest addition to Rolls-Royce’s business jet propulsion portfolio will exclusively equip the new Gulfstream G700. In addition, Liebherr-Aerospace will supply pneumatic valve for the Trent 7000 engine.
The new contract is another important step in the relationship between Rolls-Royce and Liebherr-Aerospace: In 2015, both companies established a 50:50 joint venture called Aerospace Transmission Technologies GmbH. Based in Friedrichshafen, Germany, it is developing manufacturing capability and capacity for the power gearbox for Rolls-Royce’s new UltraFan engine.
