USAF’s B-2 aircraft training in Europe

The U.S. Air Force deployed stealth bombers B-2 in Europe.

On August 30, the Royal Air Force announced British F-35 Lightnings flew for the first time alongside B-2 bombers belonging to the U.S. Air Force. The aircraft jointly trained as part of the B-2s’ deployment on Fairford air base.

This deployment will also be the occasion for the B-2s to conduct training with other European countries and thus enhance the bombers’ interoperability with European fleets. On August 28, the B-2 aircraft flew until Iceland. “Training with partners, allied nations and other U.S. Air Force units contributes to our readiness and enables us to build enduring and strategic relationships necessary to confront a broad range of global challenges”, reports the USAFE.
