Turkish Airlines and Bangkok Airways establish codeshare
Turkish Airlines and Bangkok Airways announce a codeshare for 18 Asia-Pacific destinations.
Bangkok Airways and Turkey's flag carrier Turkish Airlines announce a code-sharing agreement set up since August 1. The goal is to link Turkish destinations with Thailand and other Southeast Asian cities. Turkish Airlines and Bangkok Airways intend to connect 18 destinations. Connections will be operated from Bangkok to the rest of Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Trat, Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Samui and Phuket), Vietnam (Danang and Phu Quoc), Myanmar ( Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw), Laos (Vientiane and Luang Prabang) and Cambodia (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap). Regarding the last two routes, they are subject to government approval.
Mr. Bilal Eksi, Turkish Airlines General Manager said: “Turkish Airlines is pleased to strengthen the long lasting commercial cooperation with Bangkok Airways by expanding it with a codeshare agreement. As one of the important gateways to Asia Pacific in the region, our passengers will benefit and enjoy greater convenience when connecting to popular Thailand domestic destinations as well as other neighboring exciting travel destinations via Bangkok.”
Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways detailed the offer related to this agreement and assured: “This will offer business and leisure travelers enhanced connectivity and seamless access while traveling in Thailand and our neighboring countries. Moreover, Turkish Airlines’ passengers traveling on Bangkok Airways will enjoy the boutique airline’s services such as lounge access and in-flight meal.”
