Saudi Arabia’s flyadeal gets first A320

The new Saudi Arabian low-fare carrier has received the first of eight A320ceos ordered from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).

Flyadeal, the newly established Saudi Arabian low-fare airline, has taken delivery of its first aircraft and the first of eight Airbus CFM-powered A320ceo aircraft.

Launched by Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) in 2016, flyadeal will commence operations on 23 September 2017, on the national day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, serving domestic markets initially before expanding into regional markets.

It will complete with flynas, another Saudi carrier which started low-cost operations in 2013.

With 186 seats in a single-class configuration, flyadeal’s A320 features the latest Recaro 18” wide economy class seats, equipped with USB power outlets and personal device holders.

Flyadeal has acquired the first eight Airbus A320ceo aircraft for its fleet from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).

Saudia’s single-aisle fleet currently includes 50 A320/A321s, along with 11 Embraer 170s.
