Rotorcraft Asia: Airbus Helicopters to highlight H160

A full-scale mockup of the new medium-lift H160 will be the focal point of the Airbus Helicopters display at the inaugural edition of Rotorcraft Asia at Singapore’s Changi Exhibition Centre (18th to 20th April 2017).

The European firm, which will be the largest exhibitor at the event, will be showing the 6t twin-engine machine for the first time in Southeast Asia. Currently in flight testing, the H160 is due to enter service in 2019.

The company will also feature its state-of-the-art Helionix avionics suite and information on its suite of HCare customer services. Visitors will also get hands-on experience of the company’s latest virtual reality tool, which allows users donning a set of virtual reality goggles, to be immersed into a virtual cockpit environment, and ‘travel’ distances to ‘perform’ various missions.

Conference delegates will also receive an update on the company’s innovation strategy and its various on-going projects, from Airbus Helicopters’ Executive Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technical Officer Jean-Brice Dumont, who will be a keynote speaker on day two of the Rotorcraft Innovation Conference co-located with the exhibition.
