Turkish Aerospace Industries has announced the introduction of a full-scale model of its future fighter concept at the 2019 Paris Air Show.
It will be the first introduction of this model. Turkish Aerospace’s fighter responds to the Turkish Air Force’s needs.
According to Turkish Aerospace, it will be a fifth generation fighter, about to be developed with the support of the whole Turkish aircraft industry. The manufacturer also announced quicker creation, production and certification of the aircraft.
Turkey ordered Lockeed Martin F-35 but the delivery as well as Turkey’s participation to the program seem compromised. The USA are indeed preparing a cancellation of the contract because of Ankara’s order of a Russian air-defence system S-400.
Other Turkish conception platforms will be introduced at the 2019 Paris Air Show, one of them being the ATAK helicopter which is going to perform flight demonstrations.
