Paris Air Show 2019: ESA’s program

The European Space Agency will also be present at the Paris Air Show from June 17th to 24th 2019.

Still located next to the CNES Pavilion, at the foot of rockets Ariane 1 and Ariane 5, in front of the Air and Space Museum, the European Space Agency (ESA) will introduce its main programs too. Especially the one that will be discussed next November in Seville, during the next European ministers’ space meeting, named Space19+.

There won’t be a huge model exhibition this year but an “innovative numerical exposition”, based on Jan Woerner, ESA DG’s motto: “United space in Europe, United Europe in space” and a big external podium.

The podium will frequently receive thematic presentations for the general public, with the presence of experts on the matters at stake and above all, the French astronaut Thomas Pesquet:

  • On Tuesday, 18th June, from 10 am to 10:30 am: encounter between pioneering Apollo’s astronauts and new active astronauts generation, with Walter Cunningham (Apollo 7), Charlie Duke (Apollo 16), Al Worden (Apollo 15) and Thomas Pesquet.
