Paris Air Show 2019: Almost 700 sales of airplanes in only three days

No less than 695 sales of commercial airplanes have been announced by Airbus, Boeing, ATR, Embraer and Mitsubishi during the first three days of the Paris Air Show. Less than the 2017 edition but the number shows the vitality of the industry.

We were announcing a halftone 53rd edition of the Paris Air Show after blazing selling years. With almost 700 sales of commercial airplanes in three days though, even if this Paris Air Show 2019 has scored a lower number of sales, it has proved the vitality of the air transport’s industry is still present.

While Airbus and Boeing were coming in the red to the Paris Air Show, they were able to make up for lost time. Moreover, 2019 is not finished yet. In fact, Emirates airline still has to confirm its orders of Airbus A330neos and A350s, and Boeing 787-10s. The next Dubai Airshow will open the door for new investments.

With the launch of its A321XLR, Airbus leads the sales with 361 aircraft purchased, followed by Boeing which could get a letter of intent for 200 Boeing 737 MAX. A strong signal of confidence sent to the market and to the passengers. All the more so that Willie Wash is an airline transport pilot. Boeing concludes the four trading days with 282 sales. The manufacturing company also sold cargos which is its strongest asset given that it is the only company  on the market to produce them. The A321XLR effect must not cover the fact that Airbus got two new clients for its A330neo: Virgin Atlantic Airway and Cebu Pacific — a deal reported by Air&Cosmos International that you can learn more about here: http://www.aircosmosinternational.com/paris-air-show-2019-airbus-sells-its-a330neo-to-two-major-airlines-124557 .

For its part, ATR can show an orders’ list amounting to 75 aircraft, 17 of which for the STOL version of its ATR 42-600 that will be launched by the end of the year.
