First Airbus’s ACH160 customer from the Asia-Pacific region

Airbus Helicopters’s ACH160 finally has a launch customer from the Southeast Asia and Pacific region.

Airbus Helicopters finally received an order for its ACH160 from an undisclosed new customer in the Philippines. This is the rotorcraft's first order coming from the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. Airbus specified the helicopter would be used for private and business flights within the Philippines archipelago. For this purpose, the ACH160 Exclusive version will feature two wide hinged doors and electrical footsteps combined with a bespoke cabin. The twin-engine aircraft will be configured with a capacity of eight passengers.

The ACH160 is equipped with Blue Edge blades and a canted Fenestron rotor. The contract includes MRO services such as a HCare First premium support package. Its entry into service is planned for 2020.

Airbus Helicopters has also developed versions of the H160 for the offshore transportation, business and private, public services, and commercial passenger transport markets. Through its Manila-based customer centre, Airbus Helicopters Philippines provides maintenance, repair and overhaul, support and service solutions to more than 50 customers.
