Dassault hands over 2,500th Falcon bizjet
Dassault Aviation has delivered its 2,500th business jet — a Falcon 900LX recently handed over to a longtime Falcon customer based in the United States.
Dassault Aviation recently delivered its 2,500th business jet — a Falcon 900LX handed over at the Little Rock Completion Center to a longtime Falcon customer based in the United States. The first Falcon, a Falcon 20, was delivered in 1965.
The Falcon fleet has amassed 17.8 million hours of flight time with some 1,230 operators in 90 countries around the world. Of the 2,500 Falcons delivered to date, more than 2,100 are still flying.
Business avation innovations to have been introduced on Falcon jets over the year include the first supercritical wing, first head up display, first digital flight controls and first Product Life Cycle Management modeling system. Most recently, the company has introduced FalconEye, the first HUD with a combined enhanced and synthetic vision system capability, and the Falcon Sphere II integrated electronic flight bag suite.
The newest addition to the family, the Falcon 5X ultra wide body twinjet, recently made its first flight and is set to enter the market in 2020.
