Bombardier CS300 enters revenue service with airBaltic

The Bombardier CS300 has officially entered revenue service with Latvian low-cost carrier airBaltic. The aircraft’s first commercial flight carried 120 passengers from Riga to Amsterdam on 14th December. The aircraft was delivered on 28th November.

The airline, which has ordered a total of 20 CS300s, is operating the aircraft in a 145-seat, two-class configuration. In addition to the CS3000, the airBaltic fleet consists of 24 aircraft : 12 Boeing 737s and 12 Bombardier Q400s.

Established in 1995, airBaltic connects the Baltic region with 60 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and the CIS.

Since entering revenue service with SWISS in July, the smaller CS100 has completed more than 1,600 flights -- carrying over 156,000 passengers and serving 18 destinations. The CS100 seats 125 passengers in a two-class layout.

Bombardier announced in September that it was scaling back its 2016 delivery schedule for the C Series as a result of delays in deliveries of the aircraft’s PW1500 engines from Pratt & Whitney.
