BIRD Aerosystems to demo maritime surveillance solution

Israel's BIRD Aerosystems will be presenting a new maritime surveillance solution for the first time in the Asia-Pacific region.

Reflecting strong demand for effective maritime patrol platforms in the Asia-Pacific zone, Israel's BIRD Aerosystems will be presenting a new maritime surveillance solution for the first time in the region.

The company will be displaying its surveillance special-mission concept at Textron Aviation’s static display – Pavilion CD11. The concept transforms the Cessna Citation CJ4 platform into an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) maritime patrol aircraft with BIRD’s field-proven Airborne Surveillance, Intelligence, and Observation (ASIO) solution.

The CJ4 will be able to carry multiple sensor configurations to support diverse maritime operational missions.

The ASIO solution is described as a complete end-to-end airborne ISR system, providing real-time terrestrial and maritime information. Integrated with BIRD’s Mission Management System and using the latest surveillance and monitoring sensors, ASIO is claimed to be one of the most affordable, reliable and capable Special Mission Aircraft Solutions available today.

Ronen Factor, BIRD Aerosystems' Co-CEO and Founder says the system provides the entire operating team with an accurate, unified and comprehensive situational overview as well as information they need in order to make decisions in real time.
