Airbus A220: twenty for airBaltic

airBaltic took delivery of a twentieth Airbus A220 powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines. The Latvian airline still has 30 copies to receive, not including options.

Twenty Airbus A220 aircraft for airBaltic. The Latvian airline just took delivery of the last copie of its first order made a while ago. airBaltic still has thirty Airbus A220s, powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines, to receive as part of a second contract signed in May 2018 which also includes options for additional thirty copies. With its Pratt & Whitney PW1500G engines, the day of the twentieth delivery — Saturday, September 21 — airBaltic’s Airbus A220 fleet cumulated over 37,000 flight hours and carried over 3.75 million passengers. The Latvian airline, which chose the A220-300 model, will take delivery of two additional aircraft of the type by the end of the year. Those are the first two of the second contract.
